Meet The team

  • Debbie Sebolt – President & Owner

As the founder of Nickajack Farms, Debbie had a vision to educate children about agriculture. Having a degree in Elementary Education helps Debbie plan and execute field trips and learning experiences for children and their families. Debbie is also a certified florist and helps to make our Nickajack couples plan and create the perfect wedding or event on the farm. Whether she is in a barn teaching, creating flowers or even in a tractor, you can always find Debbie on the farm.

  • Joe Sebolt – Vice President & Owner

Joe started his farming career out years ago in Pennsylvania helping to grow and bale hay and taking care of livestock. When he and Debbie purchased Nickajack Farms a dream came true, a place to raise a family. Joe started out making hay and growing a few acres of pumpkins and Nickajack has continued to grow from there. Although Joe has an off-farm job, he is still very happy coming home and working on the farm. Farmer Joe, as you may know, can still be found working in the fields, in the shop, where he builds most of the attractions for the farm or even behind a cash register during Pumpkin Days.

  • Nathan Haut – Farm Manager

Nate came to the farm for a summer job between high school and college, he quickly became a valuable team member to Nickajack. As Nate finished his college career with a degree in history and education, he decided farming was his passion. Today, Nate is the Nickajack farming manager and has helped to grow the farm to what it is today. In August of 2021 Nate officially became a family member and married Debbie and Joe’s daughter, Amanda. In his free time, which isn’t much, you can also find Nate coaching the local high school basketball team.

  • Amanda Haut – Marketing

Amanda is one of three daughters to Debbie and Joe and grew up on the farm. Starting out cleaning animal stalls and showing horses, Amanda quickly grew into the role of farmer. Amanda will spend as much time as she can in a tractor, she loves working the ground. Amanda graduated from the University of Akron with a degrees in Marketing and Sales and has an off-farm job but she finds the time to do most of the marketing for Nickajack, manages our Pumpkin Days Festival, and continues to work weddings and special events.
