Plowing at Nickajack Farms

Where our Food Comes From—$6.50 per student 

Your guide will teach you about the life cycle of a plant from seed to plate.  You will explore how farms grow and harvest food. Adventure includes 1/2 hour hayride,  unguided access to Farmer Joes Barnyard, Rascals Round Up, Discovery barn and Animal  Education Center. Sign Up today!

Horse Fun at Nickajack Farms

Meet the Horse—$8.00 per student

Your guide will teach you about horses and their impact on agriculture. They will talk about anatomy and care for horses.  Adventure includes 1/2 hour hayride,  unguided access to Farmer Joes Barnyard, Rascals Round Up, Discovery barn and Animal  Education Center.

Add a pony ride for $5.00 per riders ( under 18) parent or guardian must sign a waiver before a child  can ride. Sign Up today!

Pick an Adventure —$10.00 per student

Pick your Theme for your 1.5 hour learning activity session. In addition to the learning activity your adventure includes 1/2 hour hayride,  unguided access to Farmer Joes Barnyard, Rascals Round Up, Discovery barn and Animal  Education Center.

  • A Fool For Wool—Learn about sheep and the impact they have on our everyday lives. Hands on wool activities, fact and crafts
  • Farm Walk—Explore the farm by walking to the fields & pastures. Learning about  the crops growing there. Explore, Explore, Explore
  • Find it on the Farm—Go on a scavenger hunt of the farm and learn about the unique things you will find.
  • BABY TIME ( only available the week of August 19) – hold baby bunnies, chicks. Hand on activities and more!
  • How we get our food—Learn how our food is grown and harvested and gets to your table. Hand out activities with plants and food. Sign Up today!
